The Derwent Valley and Central Highlands Tourism Association (DVCHTA) invites local businesses, tourism operators, community organisations and stakeholders to visit the historic ML Egeria during her visit to New Norfolk. Egeria’s visit provides an opportunity to explore the potential of river tourism, heritage experiences and collaborative events that can benefit our local economy.   Come aboard, meet the volunteer crew, learn about the vessel’s fascinating history, and connect with others who share an interest in growing visitation and creating new opportunities for the Derwent Valley.   Tuesday 11 August The Esplanade, New Norfolk 11:30 am – Egeria arrives at the public jetty. From approximately 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm – visitors are welcome to come aboard, meet the crew and inspect the vessel.   Whether you’re a tourism operator, accommodation provider, café, retailer, attraction, community organisation or simply interested in the future of our region, we’d love to welcome you. 

Come and join DST anytime between between 12:00 and 3:00pm on July 14. They'll be stationed at The artHouse New Norfolk where you can join them for lunch or pop by for a coffee and a chat. This is a chance to connect, catch up on news and talk through the issues directly impacting your business. No formalities, no agendas, just cake, coffee and your friendly RTO in a cosy café. This invitation is open to any industry stakeholder, regardless of financial membership status; and if you'd like to catch up but the dates and timings in your region don't suit you, email them at dstadmin@southerntasmania.com.au to register your interest, and DST will get in touch to make another plan.
